Journal to the rescue

Ok, Andrea's post about journal writing, and my writing this story prompted me to go back and read my actual journal entries from when I started seeing Ken. Now, Ken will probably never read my blog, but I have bit of proof in my journal entry from the day we went to Taco Bell to prove I wasn't as crazy about him that day as he thinks. Interested yes, but not at all desperate. Here you go...

5-10-07
Today I woke up at 9 and read scriptures and prayed. Then I took a nap until 11:30 waiting for Karen to come out. When she didn’t I grabbed my i-pod and ran myself. Then I swam laps and read by the pool a bit. I saw Kaleb Sands and Luke Lathen from last summer there. Dang, Luke looked so good! They had just gotten back from Hawaii and he was tan and buffer than I remembered. I always thought he was cute, but dang was he hot today. So, I want him more now. I told him to call me if he ever needed to come to the pool and he gave me his number. Then I showered and got ready, balanced my checkbook, and stopped by Nolan’s. He wasn’t there, but his cute roommate Ken was, and Topher playing Guitar hero. I joined them. Dustin left his apartment and could see me through the open door so he came in and played too. Then I got my (well, Jace’s) modded X-box and we played old school games for a while. Then we went to Taco Bell with their friend Brian and parted ways.


I ran into Kurt as I was walking to my apartment and talked to him for at least 10 minutes before I saw Karen come down the stairs and I went to Wal Mart with her. After I finally chose my big box of crayons a guy stopped me and asked me out for his friend. Oh boy, he was only 21 and didn’t have the guts to ask me himself, but I felt bad and gave him my phone number. He text messaged me and I decided the kindest thing to do was ignore it. We got our stuff and I spent too much money and we left. Then I went hot tubing with Julie, Ken, and Brian. Steven & Kade were also there. They invited me to come play wii after. I wanted to talk to Ken, but it was really crowded and the pool was too cold after a while. However, I later got my wish when people cleared out more and we talked for quite some time. So that’s a start at least. Then I changed into some comfy clothes and went to Kade’s for some wii. I played golf, bowling, tennis, bull riding, and shooting and actually did pretty well. I beat Kade and Steven on shooting, bowling, and bull riding. Mark was way too good at everything though to even come close. I also met Trevor and Nick there.


Anyways, it had been an eventful week. I love having a social life!!!!! This is just what I needed to forget about my past and I am looking forward to a fun filled future!!! I love Provo in the summer time! Sweet! Goodnight.
